Sheila Piccolo inspired me to try my hand at chenille.  I wanted to use some rather thin rust cotton gauze fabric that I had purchased.  Since the chenille is three layers, it seemed a good choice.  The contrasting print is an Alexander Henry fabric called "Sisters."  All went well until I realized I didn't have enough of the rust for the sleeves, so I had to combine both the solid and the print with one layer of osnaburg.  The pattern for this jacket is Sandra Betzina's Vogue #7183.  I purchased the buttons from a Carol Little Outlet in CA.
On the back is my first attempt at PhotoStitch done with PE Design.  I was really pleased with it, as I don't digitize.  I embroidered it on a piece of muslin, trimmed it and appliqued it to the jacket back.  The jacket binding is made from sweatshirt fleece--mainly because it was the only thing in the store which was the right color.  I got enough to make pants this winter to go with the jacket.
