Sheila Piccolo inspired me to try my hand at
chenille. I wanted to use some rather thin rust cotton gauze
fabric that I had purchased. Since the chenille is three layers,
it seemed a good choice. The contrasting print is an Alexander
Henry fabric called "Sisters." All went well until I
realized I didn't have enough of the rust for the sleeves, so I had to
combine both the solid and the print with one layer of osnaburg.
The pattern for this jacket is Sandra Betzina's Vogue #7183. I
purchased the buttons from a Carol Little Outlet in CA.
